Julie Estrada - Balanced Counseling of San Antonio

Cynthia Burns, MA, LPC

Welcome!
You’ve taken the first step in a new journey, and I look forward to working with you. I know the importance of people having good coping skills, self-esteem, healthy relationships, and a positive outlook on life. My passion for helping others revolves around helping individuals of all ages overcome the obstacles that are keeping them from the happy and fulfilling life they want and deserve. My passion for helping others revolves around helping individuals of all ages overcome the obstacles that are keeping them from the happy and fulfilling life they want and deserve. I will help you navigate through life’s challenging circumstances in personal relationships and professional transitions.

I believe therapy should be a collaborative relationship. My goal is to be present with you and help you process your thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviors in a safe environment, without fear of judgment. Because each of us is different, I believe that every person deserves individual attention. As a counselor, I do more than just listen. I will encourage, challenge, make suggestions, and offer useful information.

Our therapeutic relationship is important, and it is dependent on honest communications. To be certain you are getting the most out of your counseling experience, I will periodically ask for feedback to help me find the best way to help you and your family. My goal is to help you find the person you want to be. I believe that we can all make positive changes. Therapy is for everyone, and it can work for you! It is an opportunity to examine and reflect, explore hopes and dreams, find solutions to problems, and feel empowered on the road to attaining your new goals.
